I, on the other hand, am a history aficionado. Our kids, two teenage girls and a young boy, are just as adventurous and curious as we are foodies just like us as well. Our Destinations in Turkey

Our luxury tour in Turkey began in Istanbul, a city that straddles two continents and is a melting pot of cultures. The grandeur of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque left us in awe. The Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market were a shopper’s paradise. We found the perfect balance between exploring historical sites and exploring the endless shops, and my wife and daughters were thrilled with the unique finds. My wife turned out to be a very skilled haggler, and I was at awe, watching her completely immersed in her game. It warmed my heart to see how much fun her and the girls were having.

From Istanbul, we headed to Cappadocia. The unique rock formations, the underground cities, it was all a treat, but one moment stood out above all others and left a mark on us – the hot air balloon ride at sunrise. I couldn’t have hoped for a better way to surprise my wife for our anniversary. Early in the morning we headed to the site. It was just my wife and me in the balloon, watching the sunrise, with a luxurious flight and a picnic waiting for us. It was an incredibly romantic moment, one that brought us closer together, one that we will cherish in our hearts forever. 

With our children, we visited Ephesus, an ancient city that took my fascination with history to a whole new level. Walking through the centuries-old streets, exploring the ruins, and imagining the city in its heyday was an experience we all cherished.

Having a guide with us throughout the journey proved itself to be beyond essential. Many Turks hardly speak English and our guide, who was fascinating and wonderful with the kids, was also extremely helpful when it came to mediating between us and the locals.

The Best Part of Our Luxury Tour in Turkey

The cherry on top as far as I’m concerned, was creating the peak moment of romance for me and my wife. I knew I wanted to surprise her, to prepare an experience she wouldn’t expect, something that will awaken us from the routine, even from our traveling routine. Something that will remind us how much we love living life to the fullest, and more importantly, how much we love doing it together. When the great team of Shin Luxury Tours offered the luxury private hot air balloon excursion and the picnic to follow, I knew my wife would be swept off her feet, as she well deserves to be. I am glad I took them up on the proposal. It was a bullseye. 

Looking back, I can’t imagine navigating this trip without Shin Luxury Tours. They turned what could have been a challenging trip into a magical journey, filled with laughter and love.
