JORDAN LUXURY TOUR

There’s nothing like watching your family grow and evolve, and when you’re a grandpa of eight, it’s eight times better. Seeing your children become parents, and your grandchildren develop their own unique personalities, is a joy like no other. The cherry on top though as far as I’m concerned, is traveling the world together. 

Planning a Jordan luxury tour for a family of sixteen, spanning three generations, is quite the mission. That’s why I knew the ordinary provider just won’t do. I needed someone who would LISTEN to our needs, our dreams, and our concerns, and craft a journey that is uniquely ours.

Going into this trip I knew we needed a company that will not just provide value in terms of the program, but will be able to attend to all of our special needs, and there were plenty of them. When choosing who to work with, I wanted to make sure it was someone who is able to handle it all, from the dietary restrictions of my son and grandson’s celiac, my wife’s diabetes and two of my granddaughters being vegan, all the way to handling the physical challenges – my bad back, my son-in-law’s knee injury and most importantly – to accommodate the special needs of my youngest granddaughter, bless her heart, who’s currently using a wheelchair for her mobility. 

We believe that challenges are a part of life, and that the most important thing in the face of challenges – is to keep on living your life to the fullest, no matter what. When my youngest granddaughter told me that the best part of the trip for her was that she didn’t feel like she was slowing us down – my heart expanded, and I crowned this trip a smashing success. 

From the moment we landed in Jordan, we began the adventure on a high note. Exploring the colorful city of Amman, soaking in the minerals while floating in the Dead Sea, and being taken aback at the sight of the ancient city of Petra, which was in particular long on my list. I always dreamed of seeing it and as it rarely happens for me, reality exceeded my expectations. From there, though my wife was understandably reluctant in the beginning, we all headed to an extremely thrilling Jeep tour in Wadi Rum. The desert views were beyond stunning, and at the end, even my wife enjoyed herself tremendously, but most of all our grandchildren. The desert landscape left us speechless.

All that said, a tour is not just about the famous landmarks. We were introduced to the heart of Jordan – its people. We shared meals with local families, learned about their traditions, and even took part in a cooking workshop, that accommodated all of our dietary restrictions. It was wonderful. We have more trouble cooking for everyone at home than we had at a cooking workshop half way around the world. They were ready for us in advance and it was a treat. These intimate encounters enriched our journey and gave us a deeper appreciation for the country’s diverse culture.
